About me:
Born above the Arctic Circle, I moved to the Czech Republic as a teenager, where I studied Czech, and later earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Industrial Design. My international experience includes a semester abroad at NTNU in Taipei, Taiwan and a three-month internship at the design studio CRE8 in Taipei.
I currently work as an Industrial Designer and Assistant at Brno University of Technology (BUT), Institute of Machine and Industrial Design, Czechia.

Industrial Design Practice:
Together with my colleague, I design and develop products for clients based in Czechia. Our work covers the full design process – from early research and ideation through concept development, digital modelling, mock-ups, and prototyping, to detail refinement, client presentations, and design for manufacturing and assembly.

For me, design is a collaborative adventure. Teamwork strengthens my motivation and effectiveness, and working across diverse projects allows me to continuously explore new fields, technologies, and perspectives.

Education & Academic Work:
Alongside my design practice, I lecture at the university, cooperate with foreign universities, conduct and supervise international design workshops for students and organize exhibitions.

My CV and Portfolio are available for your perusal.

Darina successfully completed a three-month internship at CRE8, during which she was an integral part of a project team working on a medical skincare initiative and the development of a portable ironing solution aimed at addressing specific, complex user challenges. In addition to her project contributions, Darina collaborated with another intern and the CRE8 management team on a trend report focused on MRI and CT scanner technologies.

Darina integrated seamlessly into the CRE8 team and consistently delivered work that was both professional and highly innovative. Several of her deliverables were incorporated directly into client presentations, underscoring the quality and relevance of her contributions. The overwhelmingly positive impact of Darina’s internship experience has led  CRE8 to actively pursue additional international internship opportunities for the first time.

Kris managed Darina directly.
